Cat # : JUE20
This lovely hand painted glass hamsa by Jerusalem artist Emanuel is of colorful birds sitting on a branch. The Hamsa (literally "five") is a Middle Eastern symbol for good luck used in amulets, charms and jewelry.
Some people believe it offers protection from the "evil eye", the belief is that by displaying the eye (usually blue) one can ward off bad luck and misfortune and only attract good things.
The glass hamsas are just beautiful and the photos don't do them justice, when held up to the light the painted glass is breathtaking.
Size: 4 X 2 3/4 inches.
