Opal, from the Greek, "Opallos" meaning to see a change of color, is a formation of non-crystalline silica gel.
Precious Opal consists of millions of silica spheres of similar size arranged in regular layers. This structure results in the diffraction of light, the wavelengths of white light being separated into the spectral colors.
This opal hamsa pendant defracts light beautifully. Held up to light it looks absolutely astounding. This will look superb around your neck. It shares the characteristics of real opal -- without you incurring the costs of real opal.
Chain is 925 silver.
Length of chain: 16-17 inches long.
Opal Pendant: 9/16 inch long.
